A CELEBRATORY NOTE

It was like the world is a stage
And all eyes are set on me

It was my grand Commonwealth experience
that I am sharing

My mind was at peace
though I worked 20 x 7
With so much pressure on Earth
I felt like in Heaven

New friends, new collegues, new vibes
In a week, we felt like ages have passed
We grew closer n closer n closer
Amongst so much of work, we laughed n laughed n laughed

The day came with the great spectacle
N mixed our laughter with the tears of happiness
It seems we were special and lucky
As we enjoyed evry second with full of madness

This was my Commonwealth experience that has again come alive
As I got the Pleasure to Witness it live!

I congratulate each one of Us in completion of 1 year of our Bonding and great experiece that we had together!
Cheers!

DELHI BELLY movie review

My Rating: 4/5
If I have to describe this flick in one phrase, it would be “Realistically Obscene”, where you meet the better you and the outer world you confront every day.

It’s an experience where you would on every alternative scene feel that its disgusting, but on the second thought you would give a thumb up as approval. Very rarely we come across a film that disgusts and delights in equal measure. Delhi Belly is one such film.

Its crazily obscene accompanied by a lot of toilet humour, yet enjoyable. The film is about three Delhi bachelors, Tashi - Journalist (Imran Khan), Arup – Cartoonist (Vir Das) and Nitin - Photographer (Kunaal Roy Kapoor), living in the filthiest bachelor pad constructed by any set designer ever, in a nukaad in Chandani Chawk.

Our lead trio has a sheer contempt for any household work and their landlord, as expected. And their routine life gets sticky once they get their shit mixed up and deliver a wrong package that happens to be a stool sample, instead of diamonds, worth 2 crores.

The craziness of the trio is accompanied by the madness of the gang of Somayajulu (Vijay Raaz), as they began to search for diamonds. The TOI correspondent, Menaka (Poorna Jagannathan) had a unique role as she hints on a relationship with Tashi who is already going to get married with his so high class girlfriend, Sonia (Shenaz Treasurywala). Thankfully, this doesn't culminate into a love triangle.

We have a lot of slapstick humour as a lot of people get seriously injured, a ceiling collapses, a few cars are dented but when you see a man with a live firecracker sticking out of his bum, you can hardly help yourself. The cinematography is just too good to showcase the helplessness of the one’s illness and yet makes you laugh out loudly on the same.

Among the cast, Vir has a good share to entertain and Imran does a good job here, while keeping one of his eye injured in almost half of the movie. Poorna is vivacious and lights up the screen with her persona and Shehnaz is, effectively crazy woman. But the star of the film is undoubtedly Kunaal Roy Kapoor, who delivers an astounding and hilarious performance.

Ram Sampat's excellent music is superbly interspersed with the narrative. All the songs just appear in the background and are apt for the various situations. 'Jaa Chudail' picturised on Vir's failed relationship is hilariously crazy. Aamir does a good job as the “Item boy”.

DELHI BELLY is a crazy Shit. I hate it, Like I love it!
